My all-time favorite target rifle is my Savage Model 22 in 30-06. The best caliber personally is just the 30-06.
My Dad's favorite caliber for groundhogs out to 300-400 yards is anything in a 30-06. Mervin said his favorite rifle is the Savage 11-GL I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Miramar.
I like the the 270 Weatherby magnum best for deer hunting. I ordered my Savage 11-GL in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Miramar, Oklahoma.
