My best friend Emilio says his favorite caliber for the average hunter I would say the 300 Weatherby Mag for best caliber and the 7mm-08 for the best cartridge. I got my Ruger 300 Weatherby Mag last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Peletier. Emilio said his favorite rifle is the Ruger Model 96 I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Peletier. My all-time favorite deer/bear gun is the Ruger Model 96 chambered for 300 Weatherby Mag.
