My Dad's favorite caliber for the average hunter I would say the 350 Rem Mag for best caliber and the 256 Win Magnum for the best cartridge. I got my Marlin in the hunting section at Gart Sports in Nageezi, New Hampshire. My dad's favorite gun shop in Nageezi has a Marlin 1895 C45 Colt for $199. I got my Marlin 256 Win Magnum online at Cabelas.
My favorite caliber is probably the 350 Rem Mag from Bass Pro Shops in Nageezi. I got my Marlin 350 Rem Mag at the Wiley Outdoor Sports in Nageezi.
The best caliber would have to be my 350 Rem Mag. My favorite rifle is my new Marlin 1895 C45 Colt with the Bastogne walnut chambered in 256 Win Magnum and 350 Rem Mag. My most favorite rifle is the Marlin 1895 C45 Colt I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Nageezi.
My friend (Daryl) said his favorite caliber is the 350 Rem Mag he got at a NWTF banquet last season. Daryl got his Marlin last fall at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Nageezi. I used to like all my 256 Win Magnum and 350 Rem Mag Marlin hunting rifles to be "tack drivers". My friends and I like the 256 Win Magnum best for deer hunting.
